Well not exactly cruising for a bruising, more like looking to exchange non bodily fluids. We passed dozens of pickup trucks like this one, packed with people and usually containing a barrel of water to use as ammunition. When the driver sees some Songkran revellers up ahead, he slows down to allow the water fight to commence. They soon dry off with the wind and the heat. Not sure I’d want to do this all day, though, but it looks great fun. Only one more day of the festival to go. I ran the gauntlet from SMRU to my guesthouse this afternoon and had to beg people not to dowse my plastic bag containing watch, camera, notebook. And they obliged. It’s deference to the grey hair, I think.
