Zambian Children

I am writing this while sitting under a mango tree in a village, waiting for mothers to bring their children to have their vaccination status checked, to get a megadose of Vitamin A and five de-worming tablets. Unfortunately, there is a big funeral in the village and the women have to come in small groups, so they don’t miss the service and burial.

Forget the image of African children being starved and miserable. These photographs show mostly happy (some are suspicious of a Mzungu taking their photographs) children, who are loved by their adoring mothers.

  1. Looks like they are loved by their adoring fathers too! Nice pictures Ian. I guess you can show them some to share the joy.
