Shopping in Shahjahanabad

Well, you never know when you might need a few nuts, bolts, springs, shock absorbers.

Not needed if you go shopping on a horse. Maybe that’s why he looks so miserable. Or perhaps he has piles and needs to ride sidesaddle?

Department store on the pavement – material, clothing, shoes – but I’m not sure about the faux tiger fleece blankets.

There must have been a sale on.

These are designs which you can attach to your blouse or top. I was tempted.

Looking up a lady’s dress? No, hooking up a dress. Plenty of stock in store behind him.

How about a bit of KFC? They do home delivery if you pluck yourself.

Selling rope between the wheels of two motorbikes.

And if your whatsit has jammed, seized or rusted, just get this chap to bash it with a mini-sledge hammer. That will definitely sort it out, old school.

Have you ever wondered how the put the folds in folders? The bobble hat is optional.

  1. Some interesting shopping items and services there ! I was interested in the fold in folders bit as I spent my working life in and around the print industry, that machinery is pretty ancient but it looks like it’s doing the job.

  2. In India things continue to be used until they disintegrate and then some. Labour is so cheap, and some feel that it is better to keep people in low paid jobs than have high tech labour saving equipment

  3. What fun to see, what life lived by all, keep sharing it all, Ian, you have the right eyes on, or, into another world.. I love what I see in your posts…
