That second photo is magical and mysterious, and yet that benign watching-us dog and the street litter roots it in the mundane. What an amazing place India is. I think I’d suffer from sensory overload and blow all my gaskets.
I was going to save that shot for Thursday Doors, but when Royal Purple came up, I had to post it.
Your pictures from India, taken as a whole, have worked as a photo essay and really drawn me close to the place and the people.
I’m really glad to hear that Ellen. I have taken almost 7,500 photos since I arrived in August. It is a fascinating country. I am very lucky to have the privilege of working here.
